"Hermes Drive Reader" (the "application") is a private, single-user OAuth client created by and for one individual, its owner. It is not offered, distributed, or made available to the public, and it has exactly one user: the owner. It runs on the owner's own computer rather than on any hosted service.
With the owner's explicit consent, the application requests a single Google OAuth scope,
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.readonly — read-only access to Google
Drive. Google Drive's sharing model then narrows this further: the application's Google
account can only reach one folder that the owner deliberately shared with it. The
application cannot see any other file in the owner's Drive, cannot modify, create, move,
share, or delete any file, and does not request access to Gmail, Calendar, Contacts, or any
other Google service.
Files are read only when the owner asks, and only to carry out that request on the owner's own machine (for example, to answer a question about a document in that folder). Google user data is never sold, rented, or shared with any third party; it is never used for advertising, profiling, or creditworthiness decisions; and it is never used to train or improve machine-learning models.
File contents retrieved by the application are held only transiently in the owner's own hardware for as long as needed to fulfil a request, and OAuth credentials are stored only on that same hardware — never on a server operated by a third party. Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which immediately and permanently ends the application's access. Deleting the locally stored credential files removes all remaining traces.
Hermes Drive Reader's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
